Heart of Christmas - Week 25

Welcome back for another week of Heart of Christmas inspiration.
Today's card uses one of the Christmas sets from the Annual Catalogue, called Star of Light and the matching thinlits called Starlight thinlits.
I made the background effect by sponging and masking. I will supply a tutorial once I have used this card in my Christmas Party class.
The star has been cut from Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper.

To see what the rest of the team has for you head to the blog of our team leader Claire Daly, as she has a full list of participants.

Heart of Christmas - Week 24

I have something a little different for you today. I have made a couple of different bottle tags that are perfect if you are gifting bottles for Christmas.
The first tag uses the Half Full stamp set, one of the beautiful gold foil snowflakes and a strip of Be Merry DSP.
The second tag uses the reindeer from Santa's Sleigh, gold embossed on Crumb Cake. The foil snowflake has been sponged on the reverse side with Real Red. A strip of Year of Cheer DSP, the checks one is behind the snowflake. The greeting from Labels of Love finishes this tag.

For more inspiration head to Claire Daly's blog for a list of the other participants.

Less than 7 weeks til Christmas, I hope you're getting organised.

Stampin Blends are HERE!

Stampin' Up! have released their new alcohol based markers. As a demonstrator I've had a chance to play with them already, and they are awesome! They blend beautifully, and the colours available are amazing. Hopefully we may even get more colours in the range.
Here are some of the projects I've made.

The stamp set used here is called Color Me Happy and was released with the Blends.

Heart of Christmas - week 23

Only 8 Wednesdays until Christmas! The Art With Heart Team is back with another week of Christmas inspiration to get you in the mood.

This week's card features the stamp set Half Full, which was co designed by one of Stampin Up's USA demonstrators Linda Bauwin, who has reached $1,000,000 in sales!

The wine glass image was stamped on watercolour paper and coloured with an Aquapainter. I fussy cut the glass and holly sprig and mounted them on Dimensionals for extra dimension.
I mounted the image on a piece of my favourite DSP, Wood Textures and embossed the greeting in White embossing powder.

And, of course the inside of the card finishes the greeting.

To see what the rest of the team have to show you, head to team leader, Claire Daly's blog for a list of today's participants.

Heart of Christmas - Week 21

This stamp set, Cheery Chirps was a late purchase, but I just couldn't resist it any longer.
I embossed the largest bird in Gold Embossing powder on Crumb Cake. The image was then coloured using an Aquapainter and the inks. Colours below in supplies.

The tiny heart on the ribbons is from the Ribbon of Courage stamp set. It was embossed in Gold on DSP from the Wood Textures DSP Stack. The greeting is from the Snowflake Sentiments stamp set.

I hope you enjoyed my cheery Christmas card  ;)

Art With Heart Blog Hop - Designer Series Paper

Tonight the Art with Heart team girls are sharing some wonderful ideas to inspire you with our Designer Series Papers. This month is the start of the new Stampin’ Up! year and we have a special promotion on our Designer Series Paper, buy 3 get 1 FREE for the month of October and there is no limit!

This card uses the Delightful Daisy paper. I cut 1.5cm strips of the different patterns of this paper pack and arranged them on Night of Navy cardstock in a herringbone pattern, before I attached them. Stampin' Up! makes this technique so easy by providing a pack of 12 coordinating patterns that are ready to use. The greeting is from the One Big Meaning stamp set.

The next card uses my current favourite Designer Series Paper. I usually find masculine cards a bit difficult to make but the Wood Textures DSP makes it easy. I stamped a sheet of DSP with the leaf image from Colorful Seasons stamp set in Versamark then embossed in Copper Embossing Powder. I cut the Happy Birthday Thinlit from the Copper Foil and attach it with tiny pieces of Dimensionals. Mounted on Very Vanilla, then on an Emerald Envy card base.

The paper used in the next card is unfortunately not included in the sale, but it's so beautiful you need some anyway.
The paper pack is called Year of Cheer Speciality DSP. I've used a piece of the starburst paper and applied Night of Navy ink with a foam roller across the top. The houses are diecut using the Hometown Greeting Edgelits and the Santa Sleigh and greeting are from the Hearts Come Home stamp set.
The Designer Series Paper special is only available until the end of October, contact me if you require anymore information.
The next team member in the Blog Hop is Tina GiIlespie, hop on over to view her amazing projects.

Here's a complete of the demonstrators who are participating in today's Blog Hop, in case you get lost, enjoy!

Heart of Christmas - Week 20

This week for my Heart of Christmas cards I've used a lovely set called Beachy Little Christmas. This set typifies our traditional family Christmas in Melbourne, no snowflakes for us!
The first card has the Tree image stamped on a sheet of Wood Textures DSP. So that I had a brown tree (not black, using the Archival ink), I inked the stamp in Versamark then straight into Early Espresso, then onto the paper and heat embossed with Clear Embossing powder. The colours used to colour the image are Pool Party, Calypso Coral, Blushing Bride, Daffodil Delight and a tiny bit of Berry Burst on the candy canes.
The Pool Party cardstock layer has been embossed with the Seaside Embossing folder. The shells across the top were stamped in Black Archival on Crumb Cake and coloured with the same colours as the tree. The greeting was heat embossed in White on Crumb Cake. The string across the top is from the Holiday Catalogue. The next card uses the same stamp set, Beachy Little Christmas, but this time the boat house and palm tree images. Three boathouses and two tops of the palm trees were stamped in Archival Ink and coloured the cut out. Colours use are So Saffron, Marina Mist, Crumb Cake, Pear Pizazz and Soft Suede. The line of sand was masked off then sponged with Crumb Cake. The sky was VERY lightly sponged with Soft Sky. Two palm trees were stamped directly onto the base card.
The three boathouses and two palm tree tops were then attached with Dimensionals. Again, the greeting was heat embossed in White on Crumb Cake. The cardstock layers are Marina Mist and So Saffron.  I hope you love my non traditional Christmas cards as much as I do.
