Heart of Christmas- Week 14

Heart of Christmas 1.jpg
It's Wednesday Christmas inspiration time again. Along with my fellow demonstrators we have lots of fun and amazing Christmas ideas to share with you. Head to Claire's blog to see a full list of participants.

The cards I have for you today use a stamp set from the Holiday Catalogue called Season Like Christmas. This is a two step stamp set, but it's a very forgiving one. Even beginners to stamping and two step stamping will be able to get a great result with this set.

These cards use the same colours, Pear Pizazz, Old Olive, Soft Suede, Very Vanilla and Gold.
On the first card I stamped the trunk first, slightly to the left in Soft Suede. Stamping the trunk first made it easier to line up the main foliage image that was stamped in Pear Pizazz. The second foliage image was stamped in Old Olive.

The ornaments image and the star were stamped in Versamark then embossed in Gold Embossing Powder. The ground under the tree was stamped in Sahara Sand and the greeting in Soft Suede. The beautiful gold edged satin Very Vanilla ribbon adds an extra bit of shimmer and shine to this card.

On the second card I stamped the trunk image 5 times across the card. Then the first foliage image 5 times, followed by the second foliage image 5 times.

The star was stamped 5 times then embossed in gold emboss powder. The greeting was stamped in Soft Suede then punched out with the new Everyday Label punch. The final touches were two rows of 1/8th" gold ribbon around the card and a small piece of ribbon behind the greeting.
I hope you enjoyed this week's Christmas inspiration, don't forgot to hop over to Claire's blog to check out what the other participants have for you.

Not long now until the Holiday Catalogue is live, Sept 1st! Then you can purchase your own supplies and get busy on those Christmas cards.

Happy Stampin,
Rachel

Art With Heart Team Blog Hop Favourite Christmas Bundle

Tonight some of the Art with Heart Stampin’ Up! team girls are sharing some fun and fabulous ideas to inspire you from our brand new Holiday Catalogue available on 1st September until 2nd January 2018. Be sure to request your copy of the catalogue today!

The bundle I'm featuring is Hearts Come Home, which includes the Hearts Come Home stamp set and the Hometown Greeting Edgelits Dies.

The first card features mainly the egdelits, which I have cut out at different depths. I coloured the Pine trees to look like Christmas trees with an Aquapainter and Old Olive ink.

The DSP for the night sky is from the Merry Little Christmas DSP. The Santa Sleigh image from the Hearts Come Home stamp set was embossed in Gold Emboss Powder.

The egdelits were then layered on a Thick Whisper White card base and the greeting added in Gold Emboss Powder.

The second card uses on the Hearts Come Home stamp set. The houses were stamped in Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green, with the first house stamped off. The Santa and the trees were stamped in Sahara Sand and the greeting in Early Espresso. I used the Stitched Shapes dies to cut the rectangle by cutting three sides of a square, then manipulating another three sides to complete the square. I will added a picture explanation at a later date. The strip of DSP is from the Merry Mistletoe DSP from the Annual catalogue.

The new Ticket Tear Border punch was used on the Garden green strip under the Stitched Shape rectangle.

Now for a non Christmas card. I'm always looking for ways to extend the usesfulness of the products I buy. Here's a wedding card using the same edgelits. I cut the church edeglit from Very Vanilla cardstock, and then trimmed it until I only had the church and a tree remaining. I mounted this on Gold Foil, then on one of the sheets from the Year of Cheer Speciality DSP. The card base is Night of Navy.

The greeting is from the Teeny Tiny Sentiments set and is Gold Embossed.

All of the products used in these cards are listed at the end of this post. If you have any questions or comments I would love to hear from you.

Heart of Christmas - Week 13

It's Wednesday again and time for another round of Christmas inspiration from the Art With Heart Team.
This week's card uses the Christmas Staircase Thinlit dies and the beautiful Year of Cheer Specialty DSP.
I've made a mini Christmas tree using three of the small boroughs in this set. I swiped the tips of each Tranquil Tide borough with a Versamark ink pad and applied Copper Embossing powder.
The star on the top of the truss and the scalloped oval behind the tree are Copper Foil.
This picture shows the beautiful shimmer on the Year of Cheer Speciality DSP.
Across the bottom of the card is a length of Tranquil Tide ribbon and a length of Copper Trim, with an extra piece of Copper Trim tied around the ribbon and frayed.
For more Christmas inspiration head to the blog of our group leader Claire Daly, who has a full list of today's participants.

Happy Stampin,
Rachel
